Great Performances celebrates its legacy of contemporary dance with the US Tour Premiere for Australia's leading company, BalletLab and the work Origami. Created in the spirit of Japanese pop-up art, Artistic Director Philip Adams unfolds his work in a stunning display of athleticism. Adams has been commissioned by the Australian Ballet, Chunky Move, and the Rotterdam Danse Groep.

Dancers fold, turn, and roll ingeniously in a human puzzle. Composer David Chisholm's baroque-influenced writings are modulated by electronics in a fantasy filled with the ancient Japanese paper-folding art of origami.
