Tango Fire

Tango Fire
Thursday, January 29, 2009
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Place: Ingram Hall

Tango Fire, has been promoted as Buenos Aires hottest tango company, which seems like an understatement when these passionate dancers move to a quartet of brilliant musicians and a singer who embodies the legendary composer Astor Piazzolla. Indulge in an evening that begins with a series of intimate duets and ensemble dances that focus on tango’s history then segue into modern tango that epitomizes the form with music from the late Piazzolla. Feel the daring lifts and all the passion this dance is known for.

“Anyone who didn’t see Tango Fire at Town Hall….dancing to…the greatest composer of the twentieth century, Astor Piazzolla, missed out on the most important music and dance event all century. I could explain why, but you really had to be there.” New York Magazine “So good it makes you shiver.” El Correo, Guatemala

Lecture/Demonstration: Thursday, January 29 • 5– 6 p.m. • Ingram Hall
