Vanderbilt's Central Library is enriched by the the libraries – both papers and books – of Ernst Waldinger and Heinrich Meyer, a prominent former faculty member who donated his large collection of rare books.

In addition the library has aqcquired the
Joachim Dyck Collection which is the comprehensive source on German rhetoric, homiletics, and epistolary writing in the world.

Our own departmental library provides instant access to important reference resources as well as literature.
