My particular research areas are twentieth-century German theater and film. I am currently working on a larger project on four of Bertolt Brecht's plays in which Helene Weigel played the lead, her management of the Berliner Ensemble, and productions of these plays by this theater group in the twenty-first century. Other interests include Elfriede Jelinek, the interaction of text and image, and women in theater.
