A special welcome to the German Department. The program is thriving as it continues to implement exciting new ideas. Our faculty is committed to providing our students with the best possible education on the graduate and undergraduate levels while providing an academic home here at Vanderbilt University. We offer literature and culture courses from the middle ages to the 21st century. Students are enthusiastic about our programs, which include many dimensions besides the classroom experience such as studying abroad with our program at Regensburg University or in Berlin with our summer program, living in our international house, or coming to our weekly Kaffeestunde. Again, our faculty is deeply interested in our students' progress academically and otherwise.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
