IES Vienna
Founded in 1950, IES Vienna offers a rigorous academic program for semester and academic year students with or without German language training who want to study in a German-speaking country. You can focus your studies on music or other disciplines, taking courses relating to the whole of Europe from the perspective of its center, where the creative tensions in politics, economics, culture, and social traditions between the East and West are most apparent.

Homerton College - Cambridge University
There has been a university in Cambridge since the middle of the 13th century; the first college was Peterhouse, founded in 1284, but some of the buildings in Cambridge are even earlier than that.
Today there are 32 colleges that make up this collegiate university. One in particular is Homerton; known for its high academic level programs in liberal arts studies and teacher education.

University College London is a school for the open-minded and ambitious.
Today it ranks among the top five universities in the UK and is a member of the elite Golden Triangle along with Oxford and Cambridge. One of the largest universities in the U.K., the University of Leeds offers its 31,500 students a huge range of courses and a reputation for top-notch teaching and research. University of Warwick - Coventry
If you’re looking for a university vibrant with political activism and modeled on modern innovation, the University of Warwick is an excellent choice. A favored institution of the British New Labor government, Warwick was one of the first British universities to develop close links with the business community, and has been successful in the commercialization of research.

Vanderbilt-In-France - Aix en Provence
The Vanderbilt-in-France program, located in Aix-en-Provence in the South of France, celebrated its forty-fifth anniversary in 2006 and is one of the two oldest study abroad programs for Americans in this charming city. Vanderbilt in France has been located for forty years in a historic building on one of the most picturesque streets in Aix, la rue Cardinale.
Institut de Sciences Politiques
In 1872 the Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques was founded in the beautiful and historic St. Germain des Près area on the left bank of Paris. Today, Sciences Po is a grande école in the French university system, educating over 5,000 students each year in French and English. Students will discover a rigorous curriculum based in the social sciences which will prepare them for further studies and careers in leadership service.

Vanderbilt-In-Regensburg
The Vanderbilt-In-Germany program offers students the opportunity to spend an academic year (September-July) or spring semester (March-July) abroad. Students enroll directly in the University of Regensburg and are accorded full academic privileges, including library and computer facility access. Registration is facilitated by a Vanderbilt faculty member who serves as resident director and is available to students throughout their stay abroad.
Free University of Berlin
Vanderbilt in Berlin is a seven-week summer program held in conjunction with the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universitaet Berlin). Vanderbilt students participate in a program called the Freie Universitaet Berlin International Summer University, or FUBiS. For the past ten years, students from all over the world have come together to study German and to promote international education and cross-cultural understanding.

Trinity College - Dublin
For those looking for an academically challenging environment and an energetic, youthful backdrop Trinity College Dublin is an ideal choice. With a high faculty to student ratio, exceptional well rounded departments, and Ireland’s largest teaching and research library, participants will have no trouble taking advantage of the university’s ample resources.
National University of Ireland - Galway
National University of Ireland, Galway offers an excellent opportunity for students who wish to explore traditional Irish culture during their academic studies and in their leisure time. NUI Galway takes pride in promoting preservation of Irish heritage by teaching both the Irish language and a range of cultural topics.

National University of Ireland - Dublin
University of College Dublin, Ireland’s largest and most richly diversified university, is an intensive research institution with a reputation for teaching excellence in a creative and collegial environment. The university is highly supportive of both its Irish and international students with an active extracurricular life and first class facilities.
Queens University - Belfast
Queen's combines the best of tradition with a progressive outlook. The institution’s world-class academic reputation is reflected in the award of a Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2006, the fourth time the University has been honored in this way. Founded by Queen Victoria, the Queen's University in Ireland was designed to be a non-denominational alternative to Trinity College Dublin which was controlled by the Anglican Church.

CET Siena
A medieval city located just south of Florence, and off-the-beaten-path from many other American study abroad programs, Siena offers an ideal location from which to view Italy's rich artistic and cultural legacy. Students will not only be surrounded by beautiful art resources, they will also be uniquely immersed in contemporary Tuscan life. A variety of challenging courses takes students out of the classroom and into the streets and museums of Siena, Florence, and more distant cities.
CET Florence
Vanderbilt University in Florence offers an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in Italian culture, Italian language, and to deepen their understanding of Italian society through the study of art history, economics, political science, and literature. Vanderbilt University in Florence, a program jointly administered by Vanderbilt University and CET, is open to students from all schools during the summer term and to Vanderbilt students only during the spring and fall terms.

St. Petersburg University
The goal of the Russian Language program is to offer intermediate and advanced students of Russian a well-balanced program of language study in an immersion setting. University of Edinburgh
In 2005, The University of Edinburgh was named Scottish University of the Year and described by the Sunday Times as “a model of broad and consistent excellence set in one of the world’s most cosmopolitan and vibrant cities.” With over 23,000 students from more than 120 different countries, Edinburgh is both the largest university in Scotland and one of the most multi-cultural.
University of St. Andrews
Founded in 1413, the University of St. Andrews is truly a modern day medieval marvel. The oldest university in Scotland and third oldest in the English speaking world, the school continues to maintain an enviable reputation for success in teaching, research and employment. The University was recently named the best university in Scotland by the Sunday Times University Guide, where it was also ranked number 9 in the national league.
University of Stirling
The University of Stirling has been recently and repeatedly honored with array of awards and recognitions for its academic programs and teaching quality as well as its outstanding sports facilities and students’ union. The university was opened in 1967 on a new campus built on the estate of the 18th Century Airthrey Castle. Lying two miles from the Royal Burgh of Stirling, the university’s location and history make it a truly unique school.

The University of Glasgow dates from the middle of the fifteenth century, a time of critical change in Europe. Modelled on the University of Bologna, Glasgow was, and has remained, a University in the great European tradition. Today, the University of Glasgow is one of the UK's leading universities with an international reputation for its research and teaching and an important role in the cultural and commercial life of the country.
Spain
Vanderbilt-In-Spain
The Vanderbilt-in-Spain program is located in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
As one of the most extensive centers of higher learning in Europe the university not only provides students with interesting and rigorous coursework, but it also allows Vanderbilt students to experience what campus life is like at a large, public institution. Most of the classes offered focus on Spanish literature and culture while providing an encouraging environment to improve both spoken and written Spanish.
University of the Balearic Islands in Palma de Mallorca
The program in Mallorca represents an alternative for students seeking a longer stay in Spain in a location where there are fewer Americans and which offers students the opportunity to take courses in the disciplines offered at the university. The program mainstreams Vanderbilt students and places them in regular university courses with Spaniards.
Spanish 104 in Bilbao
The purpose of this program is to strengthen the students’ knowledge of the grammar of Spanish within a functional framework which will allow them to acquire a greater command of the language. There will be emphasis on written and oral expression, as well as common idioms used by native speakers. Some instructor will resort to actual texts from newspapers, magazines and contemporary literature.
