Beijing Institute of Education

This program is for beginning through advanced students interested in studying the Chinese language in China's political and cultural center.



Harbin Institute of Technology

This program is for students with at least two years of college Chinese or its equivalent. Harbin's environment offers numerous opportunities to rapidly improve upon high intermediate and advanced language skill and attracts students who are up to the challenge of true immersion into an environment with few English-speaking foreigners.



Zhejiang University of Technology - Hangzhou

Middlebury College and CET Academic Programs invite you to attend the C.V. Starr-Middlebury School in China, a unique Chinese immersion program designed specifically to provide advanced-intermediate and advanced students the kind of challenge and flexibility they need.



East China Normal University - Shanghai

The goals of this program are threefold: to provide academic courses taught in English to give each student a solid foundation in Chinese international affairs, economics, and history; to provide each student with innovative Chinese language training in small classes with teachers trained to teach Chinese as a second language; and to offer immersion into the local Shanghai community by offering a Chinese homestay, internship and teaching opportunities, and weekly group excursions into Shanghai and the surrounding areas of the city.



Japan



Sophia University Tokyo

The goals of this program are to help students of all Japanese language abilities further develop their Japanese skills and increase their knowledge about Japan and its people. Through intensive Japanese coursework, one of the largest selections of elective courses in English available in Japan, a core course that combines special guest lectures with site visits, the Cultural Reimbursement Program, and a Japanese homestay or dormitory experience, students gain considerable knowledge about Japanese culture and language.



Rikkyo University Tokyo

Vanderbilt University offers an opportunity for study at Rikkyo University, a prestigious private university in Tokyo with the possible support of some scholarship providers. The study period of the scholarship is for one semester, either in the spring from April to July or in the fall and winter from September to February (extension for an entire academic year is possible by special arrangement). Students who have had three semesters of Japanese language instruction by the time of participation in the program are preferred for admission.
