The following is a list of courses that have been reviewed by the assigned faculty evaluator in each designated department at Vanderbilt University.
Please note:
All courses are listed with a course number and/or course title, as well as the number of credit points determined by the host institution (these are not necessarily the number of credits students will earn from Vanderbilt).
The column titled "Vanderbilt Equivalent" lists courses offered at Vanderbilt, which have been determined by the faculty evaluator to be equivalent to courses taken while abroad. Any course that is listed as "NEQ" means that it has been evaluated and determined as not equivalent to a current Vanderbilt course. For example, a course marked as "ANTH NEQ" means that it has been evaluated by the Vanderbilt Anthropology department, and that there is no course offered at Vanderbilt that is directly equivalent.
The "Towards Major" column and the "Towards Graduation" column signify whether a course provides credit towards the intended major and/or towards graduation (if there is no Vanderbilt equivalent, but the course provides credit towards the major, then the course automatically counts towards graduation).
Please be aware that courses regularly undergo reevaluation by Vanderbilt faculty and new courses are frequently added to the list. Thus, the courses catalogued here may not be fully up to date for each site. If you have any questions regarding course evaluations, please don't hesitate to contact our office!
