General Overview
The tax work for
which the Office of the General Counsel is responsible includes
unrelated business income tax, as well as employment, property,
sales/use, and franchise/excise tax compliance and compliance with
Federal tax requirements to maintain Vanderbilt's exempt status
from tax on income derived from exempt-related activity. It also
covers employment benefit issues.
