Title: University Counsel
Susan K. Hannasch is a cum laude graduate of St. Louis University
School of Law and received her B.S. in Public Health from the University
of Illinois. She comes to Vanderbilt from Gambro Healthcare, Inc.,
where she held positions as Associate General Counsel and Director,
Corporate Compliance.
Ms. Hannasch previously served as Associate General Counsel at Washington
University in St. Louis (1989-94) and General Counsel for St. John's
Mercy Health System in St. Louis. Early in her legal career she
was an associate at the law firm of Bryan, Cave, McPheeters &
McRoberts, and more recently at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal,
both in St. Louis.
Ms. Hannasch has a broad range of legal experience, including regulatory
compliance, medical staff matters, and provider contracts. Her practice
at Vanderbilt will encompass a range of healthcare issues, with
regulatory isssues, healthcare companies and operational issues
as a focus.
