Can I visit outside of regular hours?
We are happy to open the Gallery outside of regular operating hours for visiting groups. Please send your request at least two weeks in advance so that we can make sure staff is available.
Do you give tours?
We are able to provide tours for groups, led by gallery staff or Vanderbilt student docents. Our space is limited in size, so we ask that you plan to divide any group larger than 25. Admission is free, as are guided tours. Please send your request at least four weeks in advance so that we can make sure staff is available.
Where can I park?
There are metered spaces directly outside of our building at 1220 21st Avenue South. There are also metered spaces in Magnolia Circle and along 18th Avenue South, both of which are a short walk from Cohen Hall. For information on bus parking, please contact Vanderbilt University Traffic and Parking at (615) 322-2554.
Where are your Renaissance paintings (or any other specific kind of art)?
The Fine Arts Gallery has a collection of over 6,000 objects. While most of our exhibitions are drawn from this resource, we are unable to display our entire collection at all times. If there is something you are interested in seeing, please call the Gallery offices. We can tell you more about how to find what you’re looking for, when we might have it on view, or, for educational groups or scholars, arrange a special viewing. You can also browse the collectionby clicking here and using “Guest Login.”
If your question is not answered above, please call the Gallery's administrative office at (615) 343-1702 for more information.
