The Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery features a series of engaging exhibitions each year that represent the diversity of artistic production today, as well as throughout the history of Eastern and Western art. The fall of 2009 marked the Gallery's move to the historic 1928 McKim, Mead and White building on Vanderbilt's Peabody College campus and a newly invigorated focus on student engagement and serving the academic mission of the university. The Fine Arts Gallery is home to a permanent collection numbering over 6,000 objects in total, and is used as broad-based resource to the university community through exhibitions, student seminars, and special programs.
The gallery also sponsors lectures and other programs periodically throughout the year. Please call for a schedule. Special tours and gallery talks may be arranged by contacting the administrative staff at (615) 343-1702.
Programs are subject to change. Please call (615) 322-0605 for current information. Admission to the gallery is free and the public is welcome to all events.
