At this year's SLRF conference in Seattle, WA, Dr. Scott and I presented our research on brain imaging of adult second language learners during lexical processing. Our talk was entitled "Mapping SLA with fMRI: Directions and Dead Ends." We reenacted this talk at a recent Vanderbilt ALA meeting.
The weekend of November 16-19, Dr. Virginia Scott, Olivia Grenvicz, Eva Dessein and I will present our research at the ACTFL conference in Nashville. Our talk is entitled "Discovering Language Learning: Talking about the Standards in the Classroom." The schedule is available in a PDF file. Copies of the presentations we shared with our students (Linking Language & Learning 1,2, & 3) as part of this project are available on Dr. Scott's website.
