Mary Beth Raycraft

Ph.D., New York University (1993)
Senior Lecturer in French

My teaching interests include culture and civilization, 19th-century literature, and composition. At Vanderbilt, I have taught several different language courses and am currently teaching the French civilization course. I particularly enjoy teaching this interdisciplinary course as it gives me an opportunity to draw upon my historical research in French architecture, private life, and gastronomy.
