Julia Bensfield is enjoying working in her hometown of Washington, DC, for PEN/Faulkner, a literary nonprofit that gives an award for American fiction each year.
Amanda Gould is currently teaching English at a French lycée in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Amy Townsend accepted a job offer from Vineyard Vines. She writes, "If you are curious about what they make their website is www.vineyardvines.com. I'll be starting out as an operations assistant and just learning the company, but by Christmas I should have moved to their production department. I'm just thankful to have found a job that involves one of my passions, sewing and design."

Emily Bond (2004) spent part of the summer after graduation working in a summer French program for young children offered by the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute. In the fall, she will be going to China where she will be teaching English in the city of Shanghai.
Negar Mohammadi writes of her new job: I'm working for Accenture, a consulting company, in New York and as they saw on my internal resume that I had majored in French, they assigned me to a project in Paris working with the Galleries Lafyette. I was here once a few weeks ago for a week and now I'm here for about a month, living in a hotel. I feel like Eloise! But a corporate Eloise! The consultants I'm working with have been doing this project with them for a few years now so I just jumped on to assist in presentations and meetings, doing a lot of translations and presentations. All in French! I can honestly say, Madame Porter, that the vocabulary and subjects we covered in French for Business have come in handy more than I ever imagined!!

Lindsey Alberhasky (2003) is an English teacher at the Lycée Robespierre in Arras, France.
Jenny Bernard (2003) is teaching English at a lycée in France.
Courtney Cole (2003) spent the past year in New York City where she appeared in a week of segments of "As The World Turns," as the winner of the college competition carried out during the school year. She also worked in a NYC high school and enjoyed it so much that she has decided to pursue a career in teaching. Courtney has been accepted for a master's program at DePaul University in Chicago where she will prepare to teach at the high school level, combining her interests in French and in theater.
Rebecca Folmar (2003) is a 2005 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is employed in Raleigh, NC, as the director of communications for a public policy nonprofit, benefitting children statewide.
Christin Harper, 2003 grad in French, has received a French government assistantship to teach English in Versailles during the 2004-5 academic year. Christin has just completed an assignment in Vermont with Americorps.

Keith Luckett (2003, Vanderbilt-in-France 2001) will earn the M.D. degree from University of Kentucky in May 2007.He keeps up his proficiency in French and is currently studying Spanish to prepare to work with the rural poplulations in Ecuador in spring 2007.Keith expects to practice medicine in developing countries frequently after completing his residency (maybe at Vanderbilt?).
