The Office of Financial Affairs
supports the overall mission of Vanderbilt
University by providing professional business and financial services
for students, faculty, staff, other service providers, and additional
stakeholders.
Besides processing financial transactions, including necessary financial
safeguards through efficient and cost-effective internal controls, we provide
varied and extensive accounting and financial management reporting services
to a broad constituency.
The mission of the Department of Finance is to:

The Department of Finance provides accounting and financial support for all divisions in the medical center as indicated in the left-hand menu.
Procurement and Disbursement Services
(PDS) supports the educational,
research and patient care missions of Vanderbilt utilizing centralized
purchasing and payment philosophies. Our charge is to design, implement
and maintain efficient and effective processes for the acquisition,
delivery and payment for supplies, equipment and services required by our
campus customers.
At Vanderbilt University, the department of
Management Information Systems
(MIS) is responsible for information technology systems development and
support for the core administrative information systems. The MIS Department
is divided into two areas of focus: Development, which primarily centers on
new development, and Production Support, which concentrates on the
maintenance and enhancement activities of the production systems.
