Business Objects (BO) is an integrated query, reporting and analysis tool that allows you to access data in Vanderbilt University´s corporate databases, called universes. You can then create a custom report and analyze this information in a Business Objects document.
Business Objects XI General Ledger Universe
The Office of Financial Affairs manages the General Ledger Universe in Business Objects. The data in this universe allow you to create custom reports based on GL information. The GL Universe uses the Desktop Intelligence, Deski, platform of Business Objects for reporting purposes. This platform requires a simple installation on your computer.

Business Objects 6.5 (original version)
Note: Vanderbilt is upgrading to a newer version of BO mentioned above. As a result, training and support for 6.5 will begin to be phased out. If you are currently using 6.5 you should begin making preparations for the upgrade to our newer version as soon as possible.
