Minor in Film Studies

The film minor consists of 18 hours. The requirements are as follows:

1. Film Studies 125 (Introduction to Film Studies)

2. One course in film theory: Communication Studies 242 (Communication, Culture, and Consciousness), Film Studies 201 (Film Theory), Philosophy 243 (Philosophy of Film), or Women's and Gender Studies 272 (Feminism and Film)

3. One course in Film Practice: Music 264 (Exploring the Film Soundtrack), Theatre 170 (Introduction to Film Making), Theatre 219 (Acting I), Theatre 227 (Screenwriting), or Theatre 230 (Play Direction)
