What: Career Parent/Student Networking Event Hosted by the Vanderbilt Center for Student Professional Development and the Parents & Family Programs Office
When: Family Weekend: Friday, September 12 from 4:00-5:45 pm
Where: Sarratt Student Center, parents check-in on the Sarratt 3rd floor between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm
How You Can Help
This event is an opportunity for industry professionals to share their experiences (education, first job out of school, and how they got to their current position) with students through informal, small group conversations. Parents will be grouped by region and and students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to network with parents. (Please plan to bring business cards or contact information if you would be willing for students to contact you after the event).
Event Schedule Breakdown
- 3:30-4:00 Registered parents check-in (ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PREREGISTERED)
- 4:00-5:15 Program (Broken out by region)
- 5:15-5:45+ Informal Networking Reception
Students who wish to participate will have the opportunity to do so by registering with the Center for Student Professional Development beginning in late August.
