starRegistration and Check-In Continues

If you have not already done so, stop by the Student Life Center, Board of Trust Room, to receive your Family Weekend Welcome Packet, which will include a complete schedule of events, name tags, and other important information.

NOTE: Nametags are required for entry into most Family Weekend events.

Vanderbilt Siblings Admissions Breakfast

8 – 10 a.m.
Student Life Center, Ballroom A

Vanderbilt siblings are invited to get the latest on the admissions and financial aid processes. This program will attempt to demystify the college application process while also providing practical tips. All are welcome, but the content will be tailored to high school students. Space is limited - be sure to register early. If you are interested in a campus tour, they will be available on Friday, September 27 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., departing from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Online registration will be available for this event on August 5th.

Note: You must be registered for Family Weekend 2013 to attend this event. You will be asked to enter your Family Weekend registration number (from your confirmation email) in the form, so please have it available.

Families of Residential Education staff brunch

8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Discover Nashville Gray Line bus tour

Departing at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Length: 3.5 hours
Cost: $47/person (Children 6-11 are $23.50/person)

The Vanderbilt Army and Navy ROTC units would like to cordially invite family, friends and guests to a pre-game tailgate party hosted jointly by both units! Come join us in the courtyard of the ROTC unit for some delicious “chow,” meet the staff and students and take a tour of the unit!

Band Parent Weekend

Band parents who wish to participate in both programs must register through the Band Office by contacting Cindi Gallagher at (615) 343-BAND.

Dore Alley

2 hours 25 minutes before kickoff
Natchez Trace

The Vanderbilt Commodore football team participates in the Dore Alley Walk through Vandyville prior to the football game. The walk start two hours and 25 minutes prior to kickoff at the intersection of Children’s Way and Natchez Trace, and continues down Natchez to the John Rich Practice Facility. The tradition takes place before every home game.

Enjoy food and music, and get ready to cheer on the Commodores by getting your face painted before heading to Vanderbilt Stadium to watch the game. The Spirit of Gold Marching Band will drop by.

A limited number of tickets will be sold as part of the Family Weekend registration process on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be in your Family Weekend registration packet. NOTE: All Vanderbilt students have free seats in the Vanderbilt student section. If you would like your student(s) to sit with you elsewhere in the stadium, you must purchase additional ticket(s).

If you do not plan on registering for Family Weekend and would like to purchase tickets for the game, call the Vanderbilt ticket office at (877) 448-2639 or visit www.vucommodores.com after August 1. Ticket availability may be limited.

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) family dinner

6:30 -8:30 p.m. at the Longmire’s House

The Reformed University Fellowship dinner is a wonderful time to meet other families and learn more about how the ministry engages with students and the campus.
