A message about the recent tornados and storms from Dean Bandas

The following email message was sent to students from Dean Bandas on Thursday, April 28.

Dear Vanderbilt Undergraduates,

Over the last several days, tornados and other severe weather have devastated various communities in our region. Our thoughts are with those affected in this time of crisis and need. This may be a difficult time for some of you, whose families and friends have experienced losses and are struggling to cope and to come to terms with these events.

The staff of the Psychological and Counseling Center (322-2571) and the Office of Religious Life (322-2457) are available to speak with students about these disasters. Students who have been affected by the storms and who have financial aid concerns should call the Office of Financial Aid (322-3591), and financial aid recipients should ask to speak with their respective financial aid officers.

Campus residents may contact their resident advisers or the Office of Housing and Residential Education (322-2591) for assistance. Students needing assistance may always call the Office of the Dean of Students at 322-6400 or email deanofstudents@vanderbilt.edu. Again, please know that we are here to help you.

Mark Bandas Associate Provost and Dean of Students
