Honey Locust makes acoustic-based, chamber folk music that utilizes a wide variety of classical and folk instruments. Focusing on dynamics, melodies, intricacies and lyricism, they work carefully to explore the boundaries of contemporary folk music while maintaining connection with their traditional roots. Founded in the summer of 2011 by Jake Davis and Patrick Howell and based in Nashville, Tennessee, the band operates with a rotating team of musicians and collaborators.
“Blue Room” will appear on their upcoming full length album, The Great Southern Brood, due out in early 2014.
