Derek Mason named head football coach

Derek Mason, who served as associate head coach and Willie Shaw Director of Defense for the 2013 Pac-12 champion Stanford Cardinal, was introduced as Vanderbilt’s 28th head football coach Jan. 18. Learn more about Mason and watch highlights of his first 24 hours as head coach of the Commodores.

Watch a video sneak peek of Warren and Moore colleges

Construction on Warren and Moore colleges, which expand Vanderbilt’s residential college model to central campus, is nearing completion. Recently, students got a sneak peek at some of the rooms and suites that will house equal numbers of sophomores, juniors and seniors beginning in August 2014.

Arts and Science Dean Dever named Dartmouth provost

Carolyn Dever will become provost of Dartmouth College July 1, 2014, after six years as dean of the College of Arts and Science. Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos has appointed John M. Sloop, senior associate dean for faculty and professor of communication studies, as interim dean, effective July 1.
