ITA Assessment

ITAs at Vanderbilt University may be evaluated for English-language proficiency at the request of their departments or by self-selection. ITAs may be assessed throughout their time at VU depending on how their role as ITAs and department needs may change. The evaluation process is designed to determine whether an ITA has the high level of communication skills needed to carry out TA responsibilities.

The assessment for Spring 2014 will be on January 6th. You must sign up using the link below. (Returning ITAs from Fall 2013 need not be re-assessed. Just sign up for your next course.)

Step 1: Complete ITA assessment sign-up form

  • Complete form HERE (Fall 2014 only)
  • Form may be completed by ITA or ITA’s department

Step 2: Attend ITA assessment at the ELC (if required)
