ITA Assessment 

ITAs at Vanderbilt University may be evaluated for English language proficiency at the request of their departments or by self-selection. ITAs may be assessed throughout their time at VU depending on how their role as ITAs and department needs may change. The evaluation process is designed to determine whether an ITA has the high level of communication skills needed to carry out TA responsibilities.

The assessment for Spring 2013 will be on January 7th and 8th, 2013.  You must sign up using the link below.

Step 1: Complete ITA assessment sign-up form

• Complete form HERE (Spring 2013 only)
• Form may be completed by ITA or ITA's department

Step 2: Attend ITA assessment at the ELC

• An ELC Language Specialist will contact you after you complete the form to set up an assessment time. 

Step 3: Based on assessment results the ELC may recommend one of the following courses:

• Academic Speaking 
• Pronunciation
