Registration is now open for the Teaching. Writing. Learning. Institute: 21st-Century Approaches & Assignments. This Institute is hosted by the Center for Teaching, the English Language Center, the Writing Studio, and the Heard Library and will be held on Friday, September 12 from 9am to 3pm in the Community Room of the Central Library. This day-long event will focus on
- An introduction to learning how science, technology, and theory affect writing pedagogy
- Writing assignments that integrate media such as video, still photography, and audio (multimodal assignments)
- Writing assignments that engage students in challenging and meaningful ways
