Economics Major (33 hours total)

Prerequisites

* Calculus (1 semester, 2 semesters recommended)

Core Courses (15 hours)

* Econ 100
* Econ 101
* Econ 150
* Econ 231
* Econ 232

Elective Courses (18 hours)

* 6 additional Economics courses (including Econ 115).
* at least 9 hours of courses numbered 250 and above.
* no more than 3 hours of independent study (except honors students).
* HIST 161 International Business History and HIST 166 History of American Enterprise count as electives in the economics major as as electives numbered below 250.
*There are two alternatives to ECON 150: Math 218, 218L, and 219 or Math 218, 218L, and ECON 253. ECON 253 will also count as an elective.
