Undergraduate

About 200 students complete the economics major each year and another 40 complete a minor. We also offer a major in economic history jointly with the Department of History.

Ph.D. Program

Graduate study in economics at Vanderbilt prepares student for intellectually rewarding careers in research and teaching, policy formation and implementation, consulting and business.

Graduate Program in Economic Development

The Graduate Program in Economic Development offers the MA degree in economic development, as well as a non-thesis certificate in economic development.
