Welcome to the Dickens Project Winter Conference at Vanderbilt University.

The Dickens Project, founded in 1981 at the University of California, Santa Cruz, is a scholarly consortium that gathers each year to explore the works of Charles Dickens. In addition to the summer Dickens Universe, the Dickens Project also sponsors a winter graduate conference that offers graduate students who participated in the summer event an opportunity to present their work in a constructive and professional environment. This year, Vanderbilt University is hosting the Dickens Project Winter Conference for the first time. We look forward to welcoming you!

A distinguished group of scholars, both graduate students and faculty, from across the United States and abroad will be here, including representatives from Cornell University; King’s College London; Louisiana State University; Rhodes College; Rice University; Rutgers University; the State University of New York at Buffalo; UC Davis; UC Irvine; UC Riverside; UC Santa Barbara; the University of Iowa; the University of Oregon; the University of South Carolina; the University of Texas at Austin; and Vanderbilt University.

All panels will take place in Buttrick 102.
