| Beg-mid April | Admissions decisions mailed weekly |
| June 1 | Housing applications deadline! After a student’s matriculation deposit has been processed, the student may apply for a VUnet ID and housing online at vanderbilt.edu/ResEd. |
| June 6 | Registration for fall classes begins. |
| August 18 | Move-in date for 2011 Incoming Transfers and Picnic on the Quad. You will receive your assigned move-in time with your housing assignment over the summer. |
| August 19-27 | Transfer Student Orientation – check full schedule below |
| August 24 | First day of classes for undergraduate schools |
| September 16-18 | Family Weekend |
| October 6-7 | Mini Fall Break |
| November 19-27 | Thanksgiving Break |
| December 8 | Classes End |
| December 9-17 | Reading Days and Examinations |
| December 18 | Winter Break Begins |
| January 9 | Spring Semester Classes Begin |
| March 3-11 | Spring Break |
| April 23 | Classes End |
| April 24 – May 3 | Reading Days and Examinations |
