Activities & Organizations

There are more than 300 campus clubs and organizations on campus, all led and managed by students. A great way to find out about organizations is to attend the Student Organization Fair, which will be held on August 25, 2006, from 4-6 p.m. in the Student Life Center Ballroom.

Students can volunteer for community service -- Vanderbilt's Office of Active Citizenship & Service (OACS) is home to more than 30 student service groups. See the OACS website for more information about local, national, and international volunteer opportunities.

Other ways to get involved:

Participate in a sport club or intramural league sponsored by the Student Recreation Center
Audition for a vocal group
Write for the campus newspaper, The Vanderbilt Hustler, or other campus publications such as Orbis, The Slant and Versus (see the Vanderbilt Student Communications website)
Go Greek: about 43 percent of our students go through rush in the spring of freshman year (see the Greek Life website)
