Letter Writing Campaign: The deadline has passed to submit names and addresses for the letter writing campaign. Donations will still be accepted on line or at The Office of Gift Processing, Vanderbilt Unversity, Station B- Box 357727, Nashville, TN 37235. Please note the name of the participant to get credit and that it is for Dance Marathon. Thank you for your support. Dance Marathon 2008 ... $144,823.06!! VUDM 2007 was a huge success surpassing every expectation. A big thanks to all of the students, staff, sponsors and families that made Dance Marathon 2008 so amazing! What is Dance Marathon:Dance Marathon is a 14-hour fundraising event benefiting the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, a member of the Children's Miracle Network. Student organizations raise money through personal and organization fundraising and these efforts will provide research, treatment, equipment and education to children from Middle Tennessee who suffer from terminal illnesses, serious disease, birth defects and severe trauma. 100% of those funds stay local to benefit the children in our community. What happens at Dance Marathon:Don't let the title scare you. It is NOT a 14-hour dance-a-thon. The program started out that way, but has evolved into a collection of many events. Don't think Dance Marathon is exhausted dancers draped over each other. It's music, food, entertainment, excitement, and yes, even some tears. Participants will play games, compete against other teams, be entertained and best of all meet the Miracle Families they have raised money for!
