Directions and Parking

Studios A, B, and C Location: Vanderbilt Dance Program classes are held in Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gym. Walk down 25th Avenue. You’re looking for the walkway between the side of the gym (a large brick building) and the Kensington parking garage. If you see the gym doors facing 25th Avenue, walk to the right following the building and you should see the parking garage. Follow the path so the gym is on your left and the parking garage is on your right. Walk until the last set of doors on the gym (near the football field), which is the entrance to the dance studios. You will see a table set up in the lobby with desk attendants to sign you in for class, take your payment and/or registration as applicable, and answer any questions.

SLC Location: Ballroom, Salsa, and Swing classes are held in the meeting rooms of the basement of the Student Life Center. The entrance to the SLC is between the Schulman Hillel Center (which houses the Grins Vegetarian Cafe) and the Studio Arts Center. Walk down 25th Avenue S until you see a red metal statue. Nearby you’ll see an entrance to the SLC with steps and a walkway to the door that parallels 25th Ave and passes the windows of a couple offices. Immediately after you enter the building, there is a door on your left for stairs and elevators. Go down one level and walk down the hallway to the meeting rooms. You will see a desk attendant set up in the hallway for you to sign in and pay for class if you aren’t already registered.

Parking: The method most convenient and recommended by VDP is to purchase a Parking Permit for $15 (valid for the whole semester) for the 25th Avenue Garage. NOTE: The garage with this parking permit is NOT the gym directly across from the studios. This garage is a short walk down the street from the studios. The pass allows you to enter from Highland Avenue, turn right immediately, and park on levels that are labeled Zone 3 Parking. You can purchase this permit at any time from the desk attendants (cash or check only in the studios).
