Curb Program in Creative Enterprise & Public Leadership
About the Curb Programs in Creative Enterprise and Public Leadership
Our future depends on innovators who can bring together diverse talents and perspectives to imagine and implement new solutions and ventures. The Curb Programs in Creative Enterprise and Public Leadership prepare students to lead and navigate within an increasingly complex system of creative enterprise and expression in the U.S. The programs are modeled after the career of Mike Curb—founder of Curb Records, philanthropist, and former lieutenant governor of California.
Students in the Creative Enterprise and Public Leadership (CEPL) programs learn through hands-on practice that innovation is a collective activity—the challenge lies in how to bring creative ideas to life amidst competing interests and power dynamics. Generating ideas is often the easiest part of innovation—winnowing ideas and implementing them are the greater challenge.
We believe mastery of the creative process crosses all fields and can enhance any discipline by encouraging and implementing innovation.
