2015-16 Opening Retreat

We kicked off a great new year at the Curb Center with a week-long retreat for new and returning Curb Scholars. The week started off with just the newbies, who attended an improv workshop, creative writing workshop, and got to challenge their puzzling skills with a trip to Nashville’s escape room. Later in the week, they joined the returning Curb Scholars for a songwriting workshop, filmmaking workshop, and a day-long trip to the Ryman Lofts, where they met with artists working in various media. By the end of the retreat, they were exhausted, exhilarated, and ready to embark on their own creative projects for the year.
