Next Year’s Visions

The Curb Scholars joined in a brainstorming activity where we took stock of last year’s endeavors and accomplishments. The highlights included: Visit to the Ryman Lofts, jam with Mike Curb, Pat Carney’s visit, the sound engineering workshop in our revived recording studio, visit to Fort Houston.
We then worked on a project for next year where we imagined a news article being published about great accomplishments for the Curb Center. We wrote out headlines as though these events had already taken place. The dream list included: holding an open mike with Vandy Spoken Word, more maker sessions, more visits from leaders in their fields, a podcast series, visiting a Maker fair, holding a cooking show, the Curb film factory, a dark room, and recording short stories for a fiction podcast. Curbies know how to think big!
