Drawing on Joseph Albers’ interest in color and geometric abstraction, in 2011-2012 Blackman installed large-scale canvas on heavily trafficked areas to encourage campus to consider and concentrate on color—our preconceived notions of color and how its shapes our moods and ways of being.
