Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law Symposium
Jan 8 2014
Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law will host its annual symposium Friday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., in Flynn Auditorium. This year's symposium is entitled "Patents 101: Eligibility from Computer Code to Genetic Codes". It will address current issues in patent-eligibility relating particularly to software and genetics.
The symposium will feature an impressive lineup of participants, including Chief Judge Randall Rader from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Judge Kent Jordan from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, former USPTO Solicitor John Whealan, and a number of other leading patent scholars from across the country. Aside from great discussions with some of the nation's leading experts on the protection of scientific discussions, participants will enjoy a light breakfast, catered lunch during the keynote address by Chief Judge Rader, and a reception afterwards.
