Woman to Woman, a collaborative program of Vanderbilt University's Cal Turner Program for Moral Leadership in the Professions and Scarritt Bennett Center, offers leadership development for women through community programming and mentoring.
Woman to Woman will offer:
* monthly gatherings and speakers
* a women's leadership blog; articles, resources & reviews relevant to local women
* a women's mentoring pilot program
The Woman to Woman initiative will focus on women's professional challenges, particularly attending to issues of work-life balance, expressing and relating to authority, and developing a leadership voice. Traditional mentoring programs have been designed for specific advancement in the workplace and do not always serve the broad range of women's needs. Woman to Woman's mentoring program seeks to redress this, by providing a space for women to raise challenging issues, have hard conversations, practice leadership skills, and learn from a diverse group of women, all of whom can serve as mentors and guides.
