This conference will bring together experts from law, the humanities, and the natural, social, and behavioral sciences to discuss the relationships between consumption practices and climate change. The conference will examine whether climate change will require academicians and policymakers to confront limits on consumption for the first time. It will examine how laws, policies, values, social factors, and information affect not only changes in individual, household, and community greenhouse gas emissions, but also citizen pressure for policy changes and political action.<more>
