The CSRC will make available upon request
grants for campus events directly related to the Center’s research
agenda. The awarding of these grants is subject to the availability
of funds, and grants are given solely at the discretion of the Center’s
Executive Committee. Requests for these funds are to be made in writing
and must address how the event directly supports and/or promotes the
development of research and scholarship in the areas of religion and
culture at Vanderbilt.
Co-sponsor grants of up to $250.00 are
regularly available for lectures or conferences with a subject matter
in the area of religion and culture. These events must involve the sponsorship
of at least one other Vanderbilt school, college, department, or program,
they must have faculty participation from more than one school or college,
and they must be open to all interested Vanderbilt faculty. The funds
may be used for any purposes related to the event except to pay directly
for Vanderbilt faculty honorarium or stipends. CSRC co-sponsorship (or
some other suitable acknowledgement of having received CSRC funds) must
be included in all publicity associated with the event. Three or four
of these grants are available each semester.
Contact
the CSRC Associate Director for more information.
