Tim Foster (Oskaloosa, Iowa)
Tim Foster is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. He studies Spanish Literature and culture with an interest in the Spanish Golden Age, the intersection of literature and music, and the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. He speaks Spanish (and some Portuguese). In the Center for Second Language Studies he is working on digital encoding of literary texts through the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI), interactive mapmaking through ArcGIS and its application to literary research, as well as other Digital Humanities initiatives.
