Felekech (Feli) Tigabu joined Vanderbilt University in 2010 and has enjoyed the international atmosphere in the CSLS. Feli was born in Ethiopia and has lived in Kenya, where she worked as assistant program producer and announcer with Trans World Radio in both of her native languages Oromo and Amharic. She has also lived in Italy and Canada. Although not formally trained as a linguist, she speaks Amharic, Oromo, English, Italian, and understands Swahili. In addition to designing and maintaining the CSLS web site, she is developing iPad applications for use in teaching and assessing second languages.
