Vanderbilt University offers a variety of residential accommodations including traditional rooms (singles and doubles), as well as suites, lodges, and apartments (efficiencies, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms).

All accommodations are furnished, air conditioned, and equipped with Ethernet data ports and cable television ports. Many spaces are fully accessible. Amenities unique to each residence hall include lounges, kitchens, ATM machines, laundry facilities, music practice rooms and markets. Several residence halls have small seminar rooms available at no cost. Room rates are available with linen or without linen. In addition, groups can choose to pay a nominal fee for more deluxe housekeeping services including towel exchanges, beds made and trash removal.

The Commons

Inspired by Thomas Jefferson's plan for the University of Virginia, the Peabody campus has been a registered Historic Landmark since 1966. The classic symmetry of the Peabody architecture and generous green spaces present an interesting counterpoint to Vanderbilt's more informal, park-like original campus. The Commons has ten houses grouped around four quads. Each residential facility has double occupancy rooms, a computer-equipped seminar room, laundry facilities and abundant light and space. Indoor and outdoor public spaces, as well as a wireless computing environment. West Hall houses up to 115 guests, East Hall 105, Gillette Hall - 230, Memorial Hall - 85, Crawford Hall - 155, Ingram Hall - 301, Murray Hall - 155, Stambaugh Hall - 165, and Sutherland Hall - 169, for a total of 1663 spaces for guest accommodations. The new Commons Dining Center is conveniently located near all the Commons residence halls.

Alumni Lawn

Attendees live and move comfortably among ancient magnolias, sweeping lawns, and buildings that balance Victorian dignity with high-tech elegance. Barnard Hall and Vanderbilt Hall can house up to 240 guests and are located in the central part of campus called Alumni Lawn with easy access to dining and classroom facilities. Also located on the central campus, McTyeire Hall houses up to 97 guests in single rooms. In addition, McTyeire has several meeting rooms to accommodate your group under one roof! Other residence halls in the Alumni Lawn area are Cole Hall, McGill Hall and Tolman Hall with accommodations for 120, 104 and 102 guests respectively.

Branscomb Quadrangle

Located near central campus, Branscomb Quadrangle offers easy access to classroom and athletic facilities, as well as to the Recreation Center. Four connecting halls, Lupton, Scales, Stapleton and Vaughn, make up the quadrangle, which can accommodate up to 772 guests in double rooms. There are several meeting space options available within Branscomb. In addition, Branscomb connects to the new Student Life Center which features approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including beautiful ballrooms, meeting spaces and the Board of Trust room.

Carmichael Towers East and West

Carmichael Towers East and West consists of suites, doubles and single rooms accommodating up to 1,184 guests . The Towers is a 14-floor residential complex comprised of two separate high-rise buildings. The two lower floors of each tower contain a formal lounge, a 24-hour reception desk, laundry facilities and a small market.

The Highland Quad

The Highland Quad is across the street from the Student Recreation Center and consists of the Lewis House, the Morgan House, the Chaffin Apartments and the Mayfield Lodges. The Highland Quad accommodates up to 964 guests. These residence halls are very convenient to most of the athletic facilities on campus. Lewis House and Morgan House are twin 11-story buildings. Each floor has one efficiency apartment, five one-bedroom apartments and six two-bedroom apartments and accommodates up to 265 guests. Each Chaffin Apartment consists of two double bedrooms, a living/dining area, a full kitchen with electric range, a large refrigerator and a bath with tub/shower combination. Each unit is fully carpeted and air-conditioned. In addition, each apartment has its own patio and patio furniture. The dimensions of the usable living and dining room combination is 12' x 18'. The dimension of the bedroom is 10' x12'. Chaffin houses a total of 192 single in 48 apartment units. Mayfield Place offers a unique living arrangement designed for 200 living spaces in 20 lodges with 10 guests per lodge . Each two-story lodge has 10 single bedrooms, a common area, two baths, a microwave, a 21-inch stove, a sink, and a full-size refrigerator. All are fully carpeted and air-conditioned. There are five bedrooms and one bath on each floor, and the floors are connected by a wooden staircase. The living room area is 12' x 16' and the kitchen is 4' x 16'. The dimensions of the bedrooms are 8' x 12'.

The Kissam Quad

Kissam Quadrangle houses up to 597 guests in six separate buildings. All rooms in Currey, Dyer, Reinke, Hemingway, Mims and Kissam Halls are single rooms.
