and Tsoubanos Defeated in NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals

VUs Top Doubles Team Finishes Season with 32
Victories
GAINESVILLE,
Fla. - Vanderbilt senior Sarah Riske (McMurray, Pa.)
and junior Aleke Tsoubanos (Chesterfield, Mo.) had their
seasons come to an end on Thursday, as they lost to
Floridas Jennifer Magley and Zerene Reyes, 6-3,
6-2, in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship
at the Ring Tennis Complex.
Riske and Tsoubanos, who played in their last collegiate
doubles match together on Thursday, conclude the season
with a 32-8 record. Over the last two years, they have
combined to win 76 doubles matches, which is a Vanderbilt
record. Riske concludes her outstanding career with
109 doubles victories, which is also a school record.
Combined with her 102 singles victories, she won 211
collegiate tennis matches.
Some of their season highlights include being named
Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Americans for
the second straight year, ITA National Doubles Team
of the Month in January, 2002 Riviera/ITA All-American
Doubles Champions and All-SEC Second Team.
