Burchett Selected to Senior BowlDecember 19, 1996Nashville - Vanderbilt women's soccer senior Jennifer Burchett has been selected to play in the 2nd annual Umbro Select College All-Star Classic. The Classic is held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from January 30-February 2, 1997 and gives the nation's top 32 seniors a chance to showcase their talents. Burchett will play on the West Team.Burchett, a four year starter for the Commodores was a team captain in 1996. She was selected to the 1st-Team All-SEC for the fourth consecutive year, the only player in the history of the league with that honor. She also was selected to the 1st-Team All-Central Region for the third straight year. Statistically, she ranks ninth in scoring on Vanderbilt's career list with 17 goals, 17 assists and 51 points. ³We are excited to have Jennifer represent Vanderbilt at the All-Star Classic. She has been a major contributor in our program for four years and it is an award well deserved,² says head coach Ken McDonald.
