NO. 7 TEXAS A&M DOWNS VANDERBILT, 5-1, IN ADIDAS CLASSIC

KLEIN, Texas - Four players scored five goals as the seventh-ranked Texas A&M (7-1) defeated the Vanderbilt (2-6) womenıs soccer team, 5-1, Sunday afternoon at the adidas College Classic in Klein, Texas.

The Commodores trailed the Aggies 4-0 at the half. Vanderbilt tallied only two shots in the first half of play.

Texas A&M took the 5-0 lead in the second half, but Vanderbilt would prevent a shut out. Junior Asta Helgadottir connected on a pass from teammate Katie Stegall with 12 minutes left in the game.

Despite giving up five goals, VU goalkeeper Lizzy Johnson would make eight saves in the game. The Aggies outshot Vanderbilt 22-7.
