A natural all-around athlete, Perkins will quickly make
an impact at defense for the Commodores this season. She comes
to Vanderbilt after a stellar high school career at Highlands
Ranch High School where she excelled at both soccer and basketball.
Her skill and athletic ability in the back will be a valuable
asset for the Commodores this season and in the future.
High School/Club: A two-time all-conference selection
at Highlands Ranch High School...Helped lead Real Colorado
club team to wins at the Nike Tournament, PPI Tournament,
and Raleigh Tournament in 2001...Club teammate of Kari Boersma...Captain
of club and high school teams...MVP of 2001 State Cup...Helped
Highlands Ranch High School basketball team to three consecutive
state championships and a 2001-02 preseason No. 1 national
ranking by USA Today...Honorable mention all-state in basketball
by the Denver Post...Captain of 2002 high school basketball
