A strong all-around player, Lewis is an asset for the Commodores
both offensively and defensively from her central midfield
position. She can make a difference for Vanderbilt with her
dangerous shooting ability and her great ball winning in the
midfield. An All-SEC honoree last year, she will once again
be one of the top midfielders in the conference again this
season.
As a Sophomore (2001): Earned Second Team All-SEC
honors...Tied for fourth on the team in scoring with seven
points...Tied for second on the team with three assists...Missed
first three games of the year due to injury...In her first
game of the season, came off the bench and scored 15 seconds
later to tie Texas late in the game...Had a three-point game
(1G, 1A) at Mississippi St...Played in 14 games, started 12.
As A Freshman (2000): Only freshman named to the SEC's
All-Tournament Team...Led the team with 52 shots, while finishing
sixth with four goals, two assists and 10 points...Top two
statistical games were against Arizona and UAB, where she
had a goal and an assist in each contest...Both of her assists
led to game-winning goals...Recorded the team's season high
with nine shots against Furman...Saw action all 21 games,
starting 19.
High School/Club: Help lead high school team to four
state titles (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000)...Captain of both her
2000 high school and club squads...Named to the All-Metro
team from 1997-2000...Named to the All-State team in 1998,
1999 and 2000...Won the 1997 Coaches Award at Briarwood Christian...Named
the 1998 Birmingham Player of the Year...Club team, Briarwood
