Carroll anchors the Commodores from her central midfield
position. A complete player who can help the Commodores offensively
and defensively. , she will be a key to the team's success
this year. Earned All-SEC honors in 2001 and will once again
be one of the top central midfielders in the conference this
season. She is a good ball striker who gets involved in the
Commodore attack, as she led the team in shots last year.
She is also a good tackler and great ball winner who can move
to defender when needed.
As A Junior (2001): Named Second Team All-SEC...Named
to Third Team All-Central region by NSCAA...Tied for team
lead with four goals and nine points... Led team with 44 shots...Scored
game-winning goal in final two minutes of 1-0 win over UAB,
a game in which she had a career-high seven shots...One of
four players to start all 17 games...One of three players
to play all 1,559 minutes of the 2001 season...Named to SEC
Academic Honor Roll. Selected to represent Region III at the
2002 Sports Festival.
As A Sophomore (2000): Named to the SEC All-Tournament
Team...Earned Academic All-SEC Honors...First on team with
four assists and three game-winning goals...Second on team
with 18 points, seven goals and 50 shots...Career-high two
goals against Arizona...Recorded double-digit shot totals
in seven straight games and 10-of-11 games, while three times
matching her career high of five shots...Assisted on Jen Talavera's
game-tying goal with two seconds remaining in regulation at
Auburn...One of five players to start all 21 games.
As A Freshman (1999): Started every game in her rookie
year as one of Vanderbilt's center midfielders…Made her first
collegiate start in VU's season-opener at Alabama…Tallied
her first assist as a Commodore in VU's win over Indiana…Recorded
her first career goal against 12th-ranked Georgia…Had her
best performance of the season with two assists and five shots
against LSU.
High School/Club: Gatorade Circle of Champions Tennessee
High School Girls' Soccer Player of the Year in 1997 and 1998…Earned
All-America honors and was The Tennessean Midstate Player
of the Year in 1998 after scoring 12 goals and 14 assists
her senior season…A three-time all-district and all-region
honoree…Named District MVP in 1997 and 1998…Helped Brentwood
High School to two district and regional titles (1997-98),
the runner-up title in 1998 and the Tennessee state title
in 1997; the team earned a No. 10 ranking from USA Today in
1997…Scored 10 goals and 24 assists her junior year…Holds
the school single-season (24) and career assist record (60)
and also owns all-time state record for assists (60)…Helped
her Music City Lady Sting club team to three state titles
(1995-97) and took them to the Region III Semi-Finals in 1995-97…Traveled
with the Region III ODP team to Europe in 1998 and played
for the Region Pool Team from 1996-98…Named all-state in cross
country in 1996 and holds the school's 5K record (18:54).
