Bruntlett looks to rebound after a sophomore season in which
she missed half the year due to illness. A strong technical
player, she has the ability this season to once again be an
impact player for the Commodores offensively, as she was as
a freshman. Her 35 percent career shooting percentage is best
among current players.
As A Sophomore (2001): Played in 12 games, starting
two...Had one goal on four shots on the season...Scored game-winning
goal in a 1-0 win at South Carolina. Selected to represent
Region III at the 2002 Sports Festival.
As A Freshman (2000): Second on the team with three
assists, while finishing third on the team with 15 points
and six goals...In her first collegiate game, scored six points
on two goals and two assists versus Tulane...Had second two-goal
performance of the season against South Carolina...Scored
game-winning goal at No. 17 SMU...Scored game-tying goal at
Kentucky to send the match into overtime...Assisted on the
game-winner against Tennessee in the SEC Tournament...Scored
Vanderbilt's lone goal against Georgia in the SEC Tournament...Started
21 of 22 games and all nine SEC games.
High School/Club: Had 65 goals and 14 assists in
her senior year and 55 goals and 20 assists in her junior
year...Holds high school record for most goals in a game,
most goals in a season and most assists in a season...Named
to First Team All-Northwest Florida for four years by the
Pensacola News Journal...High School Player of the Year...NSCAA
All-South...High School All-State...High school team was three-time
district champions and went to the Final Four of the state
tournament in 1998...Competed on the Florida ODP team for
six years and the Region III team for three years...Played
on the Pensacola Samba club team for seven years and also
the Tampa Bay Heather club team.
